Hi, I’m Tyrone, also known as “T”, I played Rugby League for 19 years and planned to continue for many more years until October 2010 when I tried a class of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and realised all my strength and athletic ability didn’t mean much when coming up against a skilled martial artist. It was a very humbling experience, discovering that somebody 20kgs smaller could easily beat me with just pure technique. I signed up that night and started training 6 days a week. I could not walk around now knowing that I have no idea how to defend myself. I have been an instructor since 2013. I earned my BJJ black belt in 2016. I have coached students who have won state, Australian and international titles in BJJ. I have cornered students in mixed martial arts fights. Even if you never want to compete there are so many great benefits from training. You won’t realise what you’re missing out on until you start. One thing I hear from students all the time is I wish I started training years ago. See you at training.

Hi, I’m Andy! I decided to learn how to defend myself and started training martial arts seriously at the age of 15, taking on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai at local Sunshine Coast gyms. Over the last 15 years, I have been fortunate enough to win multiple Championships, including MMA and Muay Thai titles, as well as having the pleasure of competing around the world, representing Australia in 8 fights, fighting in Las Vegas, Bahrain, and Serbia. I received my BJJ black belt in 2017. With well over a decade of experience in teaching combat sports, I consider myself very blessed to be able to coach and guide people in their martial arts journey. BJJ is particularly special, because it epitomises the David vs Goliath match up, arming the smaller person with the technique and leverage to beat the bigger, stronger, and more aggressive opponent. Throughout the years, on the mats, I learned some of the most important lessons of my life and training has always served me as the best way to better myself on a daily basis, for the good of those I care about, and society, which, in my eyes, is what being a martial artist is all about.
